I'm Charlotte, a New Zealand native who writes exactly as she speaks. I'm a writer who loves desserts, and gaming and has a passion for fashion and food. Kia ora lovely people,
I am going to keep it short and sweet this week as this is my final Substack piece for 2023. Things have been quite hectic with my marketing business (which is a great problem to have), along with the Suspicious or Delicious podcast, which is going to launch a new season in January 2024. Just like always, I'd like to share a few things that I've been enjoying lately. I've watched some good movies, listened to some great music, and read some fantastic pieces of writing.
I hope you find something you like here too.
Godzilla (1998) - Such a great film and honestly, for its time, what a great example of cutting-edge graphics!
White Oleander (2002) - A visually stunning film about a mother and daughter and their tumultuous relationship.
Licorice Pizza (2021) - Do I have an obsession with coming-of-age films? Absolutely. However, I am aware of the controversy surrounding this particular film after watching and learning more about it.

Why 2023 Was The Year Fashion Fell For Ugly Shoes
I’ve also put a tonne of books on my Audible account ready and waiting for the holidays to start. I always tell myself I’ll read a bunch of books during the Christmas break, and although I never get around to reading AS many as I dream… it’s the intention that counts right?
My Spotify Wrapped 2023 - It’s not over for me… I’m still listening because why not? It’s all my faves and it feels like a bit of a time warp from the beginning of this year right through to now.
And that’s it! Have a fabulous Christmas and New Year, rest, take care and spend time with your loved ones. I can’t wait to chat with you again in the new year.
I appreciate your support throughout 2023.
