Baby Reindeer, 4B Movement & Narcissism: Issue 57
I'll never not excel at the most eclectic newsletter of ramblings...
I'm Charlotte, and I write like I speak. My friends always ask me for recommendations on books, films, and podcasts, so I created Grab a Slice to share my suggestions and help others discover new favourites.
Do you frequently share reccys with someone? If so, why not share this newsletter with them as well?
Hello lovely readers,
I couldn't let April pass without sharing these goodies. It's May 1st tomorrow, and I'm excited to start a new monthly playlist. Let's go!
Baby Reindeer is living in my head rent-free this week… I watched it all one evening last week and can’t stop thinking about it. It was so deeply terrifying, sad, beautiful, funny and hideous from Ep 1 right through to the 7th. I watched the whole thing in bed one night and would go from feeling scared to laughing to tearing up within one episode. Inspired by true events, and a complete emotional rollercoaster… BIG trigger warning to anyone who may want to start watching it - maybe check out the Wiki URL I linked and have a read, if you’re not feeling emotionally healthy right now, give it a miss until you’ve got capacity xx
Sharing a bunch of links I’ve been reading - I’m guilty of keeping SO MANY pinned tabs open on my poor computer every week. I read things that pique my interest and I always think about sharing them with you! Here’s my brain dump of stuff for you to have a look at if you’re interested:
A look at menstruation through 4 generations
Martin Luther King’s letter from Birmingham Jail from 1963
The 4B Movement happening in Korea
And of course, one of my favourite people on the internet, Constance McDonald - subscribe to her Substack below for interesting musings xx
Do you know someone with narcissistic tendencies? 1 in 6 people are potentially a narcissist. Check out this pod episode if you’re curious to know more…
It’s the LAST day of April so you’re getting my April recap - this playlist has been curated throughout Auckland cafes, my home office, and from a week working up in Whangarei. It’s an eclectic mix as always. Enjoy!
Until we’re next reunited
